Pelham: A Classic Tudor Reimagined

The owners bought this charming, much admired, Pelham Manor home in 2003 and raised their two children there.  As the family grew, the uses of the rooms changed and, as most homeowners can relate to, a lot of things had accumulated. In 2024, the owners began planning to sell. In addition to beginning the time consuming work of de-cluttering, the owners quickly realized how difficult it can be to see one’s own home through a buyer's eyes. They had grown attached to the spaces and details that made the house feel like home.

To maximize the home’s value in the 2024 real estate market, the owners engaged the help of professional stager Susan Atwell of Atwell Home Staging.  Susan gave a fresh perspective and helped identify opportunities to  refresh key rooms and make strategic design improvements that enhanced the home's appeal. The owner was an active staging partner throughout the process and maintained it in its “photo ready” state.

Two days after the open house, a buyer offered $1.9MM,  $250K over the asking price.
